Verity is a theatre degree graduate with a love of literature, the theatre and the English language! Having completed her studies at York St John University, she moved back to her hometown of Telford and joined the EDS team. Verity has undertaken many roles within the company and has a strong belief that with a little creativity every learner can enjoy education! A keen playwright Verity continues to write plays for both stage and screen and can often be found with a notepad and pen in hand.

Abi joined the team when she became our Business Administration Apprentice in 2015. Undertaking her first full-time position has been an enjoyable learning experience and she looks forward to developing her skills further within EDS. After working hard at school, she then went on to study A levels at New College Telford. Abi enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is a keen believer that positivity is the key to success!

Functional Skills Tutor - Seeds Centre Telford

Gaynor joined the EDS team in December 2016 as a Functional Trainer. Gaynor has many years of experience delivering Functional Skills along with Health and Safety, IT and Care. Her previous roles have included managing a training centre, assessing NVQ qualifications and promoting excellence in learning. Gaynor is a Shropshire girl, born in Much Wenlock, attending The William Brookes secondary school and then Shrewsbury College to complete her BTEC National Diploma in Social Care. She has a passion for learning and believes that it’s never too late to achieve your goals. With this in mind, she returned to Bournville College to complete her teaching qualification. In addition, Gaynor loves to travel and meet new people. She also has a young family who she enjoys taking to the beach at any opportunity at a weekend, no matter what the weather!

Functional Skills Tutor - Seeds Centre Telford

Sophie joined the EDS team in September 2015 as a functional skills tutor. She has a wealth of educational knowledge completing various childcare courses, such as a certificate in Early Years Care and Education. Having developed a variety of skills and knowledge in both schools and nursery settings, this led to her studies at Glyndwr University where she gained an Education and Childhood Studies degree and a PGCE in the lifelong learning sector. She loves to spend time with her young family including the most recent member a smiley bouncy baby boy!

I am an enthusiastic sportsman and coach where I have studied various sports qualifications, recently achieving a Joint degree in Physical Education and Sports Coaching Science. I have played football for many years now playing at a high level where I enjoy succeeding in a winning mentality. I always seek motivation in what I do as I have progressed as a Multi Sports Coach over the years. Currently coaching alongside being a Teaching Assistant it gives me the opportunity to enjoy my passion of a coach to make the younger generation good sportsmen and women of the future.

Born in Nottingham Michelle moved to Telford at the age of 13 where she attended Phoenix comprehensive. She went on to study a NNEB Nursery Nurse qualification and following graduation she spent the following ten years working as a private nanny to several families in the west midlands as well as a several years at a day nursery in Newport. In 2002 Michelle moved to Germany where she spent the next fourteen years. During this time she taught English to German children as well as nannying to several German families. In 2016 a family decision was made to return to the UK where she felt the urge to continue working with children but in a very different capacity where she feels her input could make a real difference.
