Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome to The Seeds School.
The Seeds School is a small independent special school supporting young people aged 14 to 16. Our provision primarily serves students with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), whose main area of need is Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
We are proud to operate across two sites, located in Horsehay, Telford, and Rushall, Walsall.
At The Seeds School, we believe that positive relationships are at the heart of successful learning. Our nurturing and supportive environment enables us to build strong partnerships with students, families, carers and the wider community. By providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive setting, we encourage young people to express themselves with confidence, helping us to understand their individual experiences and aspirations. This allows us to tailor support effectively while promoting our core values of Respect, Resilience and Responsibility.
We are committed to helping every learner flourish. Through developing confidence, independence and self-belief, we equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in further education, employment and adult life.
Our broad and enriching curriculum offers a range of engaging vocational opportunities, including construction, hairdressing, catering and sport. Alongside these practical experiences, students develop essential English and mathematics skills through a functional and relevant curriculum that demonstrates how learning connects to the workplace and everyday life. Educational visits, enrichment activities and real-world experiences further broaden horizons and inspire ambition.
Our dedicated staff and professional partners demonstrate understanding, compassion and expertise in supporting the diverse needs of our students. Together, we strive to create an environment where every young person feels valued, respected and empowered to achieve their best.
We are incredibly proud of our school community and remain committed to ensuring that every student is supported, safe, inspired and equipped to excel. Our mission is simple: to help each young person realise their full potential and prepare them for a successful and fulfilling future.

The Seeds School
Our Independent School provides alternative education supporting young people who have become disengaged from mainstream learning and those who have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). We have two school sites based in Telford and Walsall.
The Seeds School is a non-denominational school for boys and girls aged between 14 and 16 years at KS4.
Our innovative and diverse range of vocational learning is at the heart of our curriculum. We include all key areas of the national curriculum which is embedded throughout the young person’s tailored learning programme.
Due to us working with small cohorts of students our team can devote the time and support needed to equip learners with social, emotional and mental health needs.
At The Seeds School our focus is to help young people engage, achieve and thrive in both education and life beyond school.
We offer both fulltime and part time provision.
The Seeds School has a wide network of expertise from experienced staff and professionals supporting young people in areas of personal development, pastoral care, social awareness, engagement and preparation for employment.
Our bespoke curriculum enables young people to progress and attain life skills with valuable qualifications, equipping them for life’s journey.
“The history of the world begins with a seed. The seed is the kernel of what you are, but it is also the promise of what you can become.”
